The movie takes a look at six amazing Mexican transgendered ladies as they prepare for a dramatic beauty pageant. in Venice, CA, Oct. 7, 2010 at 7 pm. July, 2010 - Alison wins 'Best Actress,' 'Best Director,' 'Best Screenplay' and '2nd Best Feature Film' at the inaugural Los Angeles International Film Festival. June, 2010 - Alison wins 'Best Experimental Drama' at The Indie Gathering. Jan. 2010 - The making of Alison photos are up ... a small, under-the-radar crew, a few talented people and some cool toys adds up to something special. Check it out. Jan., 2010 - David Schmidt, of Acapella Audio, is presently finishing up Alison's post audio -- so we''ll sound as good as we look. Dave's been doing an awesome job in the North Carolina region for five or so years -- he's been the area's go-to guy for excellent audio production and audio mixing ever since he arrived. The dude really knows what he's doing. Thanks, David! Jan., 2010 - Festival submissions! Alison is presently submitting to festivals around the country -- and indeed, around the world. We've gotten a few 'Thanks but no thanks' from some unnamed festivals (okay, one of them begins with 'Sun' and ends with 'dance'), but have gotten some major interest (Rotterdam was interested in us, but I think we didn't make the final cut, natch). We're close, very close. All in all, you premiere where you premiere, at the best fit for your movie. A soon as we know, we'll post it here. Thanks for your interest! Oct. 20, 2009 - Alison will participate, as a work in progress, in this year's Asheville Film Festival. The movie will show Friday evening, Nov. 13, 2009.
